Hello Indiana-PAW Friends,

Animal shelters and rescue groups in Rushville, Cedar Grove, Jeffersonville, Anderson and Indianapolis, Indiana have all reached out to Indiana-PAW in the past two weeks to ask for help from YOU - our constituents. Here is what is needed:

Rushville Puppies Need Your Help

Rushville Animal Shelter Puppy.
Jaime Glandon, the Rescue Coordinator for the Rushville Animal Shelter, tells Indiana-PAW her shelter has an emergency need for foster homes for a litter of puppies and their mom. Jaime says the shelter has received a call from a citizen with a litter of 9 puppies who are five weeks old. The citizen wishes to bring the puppies to the shelter, and is incapable of caring for them (3 have already died in his care, and the surviving puppies are living outside with their mom). Jaime tells Indiana-PAW, "Our shelter is at capacity and if this litter gets brought in, [a different litter of puppies already at the shelter] will be put down to make room." Jaime's shelter is in need of foster homes for the 6 surviving puppies (who are already weaned, and who are Bull Mastiff/German Shepherd mixes, and who will be spayed/neutered), and their mom. If you can help, e-mail Jaime. Indiana-PAW will provide transportation of the puppies from the Rushville shelter to any location in the State of Indiana, if someone will agree to foster the puppies.

3 Remaining Trailer Park Dogs Running Out Of Time

Trailer park dogs running out of time.
Paula Brock, the founder of Volunteers For Animal Welfare (a Cedar Grove, Indiana organization) has notified Indiana-PAW that the dogs we've told you about previously - who were left in an Indiana trailer park to die - are running out of time, and are in desperate need of foster homes. As we've previously reported, Paula's organization has been taking the 9 dogs food, has had many of them neutered and vaccinated, and has even found homes for 6 of them. However, there are still 3 dogs abandoned in the trailer park for whom Paula is desperately trying to secure foster homes, and time is running out. If you can foster any of these 3 poor dogs, please contact Paula Brock directly. Indiana-PAW will provide transportation of the dogs from the trailer park to any location in the State of Indiana, if someone will agree to foster the puppies.

Shelter In Jeffersonville Needs Your Support

They are looking for folks to help them by adopting animals, and/or assisting with donations for their relcation. If you want to learn how you can help this agency, please e-mail Jeni Church directly.

Indiana-PAW Foster Parents Find Joy In Saving Lives

Kittens fostered by Indiana-PAW foster parents.
Indiana-PAW receives a steady stream of positive feedback from our foster parents, who find great joy in helping shelters and rescue agencies save the lives of animals who would otherwise have to be euthanized due to overcrowding, or minor health or behavioral problems. For example, just this week, foster parent Sabrina Lanie wrote: "I would certianly do it all [serve as an Indiana-PAW foster parent] over again! In fact, when I move to Florida, I'm going to look around and see if I can find something similar [to Indiana-PAW]! It was a very positive experience. I felt very proud to be a part of Indiana-PAW.  I think that you have a wonderful helpful, caring staff and volunteers." To join Indiana- PAW's foster parent team like Sabrina did, and help animals like those featured in this newsletter, click here.

Thanks to all of YOU for all you do for Indiana animals!
