Largest Animal Shelter In Indiana Needs Your Help

Hello Indiana-PAW Friends,

The largest animal shelter in Indiana needs your help in two immediate respects. Indianapolis Animal Care & Control - one of our most valued Indiana-PAW partners - needs help, and we hope you can help, or can spread the word. This is an extremely hard-working shelter (they serve nearly 20,000 animals each year), and we need to step up to the plate for them.

Indianapolis Animal Care & Control Swamped With Cats - URGENT NEED FOR HELP
Cats Indianapolis Animal Care & Control (IACC) has exceeded its capacity for cats (partly due to a mass surrender by a cat owner who dumped 60 cats on the shelter), and has an URGENT NEED FOR HELP. PLEASE, all Indiana-PAW constituents: if you are able to adopt a cat, please do so IMMEDIATELY, as there are dozens upon dozens of wonderful cats awaiting adoption at the shelter (located at 2600 S. Harding Street; adoption fees are just $60 and include spay or neuter surgery, all age-appropriate vaccines except rabies, a microchip, and a heartworm or feline leukemia test). Alternatively, if you are able to provide temporary foster care for a cat, please contact Kirsten Vantwoud, the Kennel Manager, at: K0242@Indygov.org or by calling 317-327-1397. Please hurry: time is of the essence.

Indianapolis Animal Care & Control Dog Needs New Foster Home: HELP TANNER
Tanner Tanner (pictured at left) is a wonderful, loving young hound/lab mix whom Indianapolis Animal Care & Control is trying to help. They have reached out to Indiana-PAW for help locating a foster home for Tanner. The family currently fostering Tanner needs to relocate him immediately. Tanner would be a GREAT foster dog: he's about three years old, is housetrained, is fantastic with people, has had all of his shots, has been neutered, loves to play ball, loves walks, enjoys snuggling, loves the water, and loves to play in a wading pool. If you temporarily open your home to Tanner (or, better yet, want to adopt him permanently), please contact Kirsten Vantwoud, the Kennel Manager, at: K0242@Indygov.org or by calling 317-327-1397.

Thanks to all of YOU for all you do for Indiana animals!
