Animal Groups & Citizens Join Forces For Lucky Dog
Indiana-PAW Friends,
We're far more effective in our
efforts to help homeless Hoosier pets when we work together as a
team. That principal was beautifully illustrated this week in a
wonderful newspaper article about a number of Indiana animal groups
and citizens joining forces to help one lucky dog: Louise, the
beautiful Pit Bull who survived Hurricane Katrina. Please enjoy
the heartwarming article below, and remember just how much we can do
when we work together!
Northwest Indiana Times Article: "A Lover, Not A
Fighter"
 Louise | Recently, two
of Indiana-PAW's foster parents, Rae and Don Steeb, stepped up to
the plate to help an Indiana-PAW partner: Indianapolis Animal Care
& Control (the largest shelter in the State of Indiana). The
Steeb family agreed to foster Louise, a beautiful, sweet Pit Bull
who survived Hurricane Katrina and was rescued by Indianapolis
Animal Care & Control. As the newspaper article below explains,
Louise's story is a wonderful testament to what Indiana animal
groups and citizens can accomplish when we work together. In this
case, Indianapolis Animal Care & Control rescued Louise,
Indiana-PAW assisted with finding her a foster family, and ASTRO
Pitbull Rescue is sponsoring Louise's adoption. A success story if
there every was one!
Please enjoy the article below, and
please let us know if you'd like to give Louise a PERMANENT home!
