Saturday: Come Meet Pets Needing Homes At The "Tour For
Life"
Indiana (April 17th, 2008) -
 Waylon, Indiana-PAW's Canine
Ambassador, will make his inaugural appearance with
Indiana-PAW this Saturday at the "Tour For Life" event at
Indianapolis Animal Care & Control.
| Welcome to Spring in Indiana! The grass is
starting to green up, the tulips are blooming, and Indiana-PAW
is hitting the road to bring our educational messages to Hoosiers
everywhere. This Saturday, we're honored to be participating in the
"Tour
for Life" adoption event being hosted by Indianapolis
Animal Care & Control, one of the hardest working animal
shelters in the State.
Stopping in more than 20 U.S. cities
to help save homeless pets' lives across America, "Tour for Life" is
the North
Shore Animal League America's (NSALA's) month-long cooperative
initiative with animal shelters across the country. Since its
inception in 2001, "Tour for Life" has been promoting the importance
of adopting shelter dogs and cats as a life-saving measure.
This weekend, "Tour for Life" will be coming to
Indianapolis with a two-day event on Saturday and Sunday, April 19th
and 20th, at Indianapolis Animal Care & Control (IACC), located
at 2600
S. Harding St., Indianapolis, IN 46221. This will provide a
terrific opportunity for citizens to come out to meet hundreds of
adoptable animals from not only IACC, but many other local rescue
groups as well.
Duster is one of the many
wonderful animals available for adoption from IACC.
| This Saturday, IACC,
Indiana-PAW,
and many local animal rescue groups will anchor the event at IACC
between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Waylon,
Indiana-PAW's Canine Ambassador, will be making his inaugural
appearance with us, helping us educate citizens about the critical
need to be responsible and spay/neuter, and adopt rather than buy
animals. Then, this Sunday, IACC will have NSALA at the event
with the NSALA Mobile Adoption Unit, along with additional rescue
groups with adoptable animals (and, naturally, all of the wonderful
IACC animals).
So, if you're looking to adopt a wonderful
dog or cat, THIS IS THE WEEKEND to do it! Come to the "Tour For
Life" this Saturday or Sunday, and help give a wonderful "second
leash on life" to a dog, cat, kitten or puppy. With hundreds of
animal available for adoption, you are bound to meet one you love.
Thank you from all of us at Indiana-PAW,
