Petfest 2006 Spring Adoption Day Is This
Saturday!
Gizmo, one of the dogs that will be available for
adoption at the Indiana-PAW booth at Petfest this
Saturday! | Indiana-PAW will have
a booth at the Petfest
2006 Spring Adoption Day this Saturday, May 6th, at the Indiana
State Fairgrounds! More than 50 animal shelters and rescue groups
will have more than 400 animals available for adoption at this
wonderful event! Please attend, and stop by the Indiana-PAW booth to
meet Gizmo (pictured at right), and other adoptable dogs and
cats!
Indy Pit Crew Heading To Mississippi Laura Gonzo
of The
Indy Pit Crew (Indianapolis' new APBT advocacy group) asked us
at Indiana-PAW to let everyone know that they're sending a small
delegation to Mississippi from May 13-21 to volunteer with the
Humane Society of Louisiana's (HSLA) hurricane rescue center and
sanctuary, nicknamed "Camp Katrina." HSLA
has many adoptable animals, and the Indy Pit Crew delegation will
bring some of them back to Indiana. If you would like to help foster
cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits, or chickens, please contact

make arrangements.

Feedback On Indiana-PAW Foster
Program Indiana-PAW's flagship foster program is
designed to match Hoosiers who are willing to foster animals with
shelters and rescue groups who need foster parents for animals at
risk for euthanasia. Our program continues to grow, and we wanted to
share the following feedback we received from Kathy McGriff of
B.O.N.E. Rescue (Beardies & Others Needing Emissaries), one of
the local animal agencies who use our foster parents: "Other
people in Beardie Rescue are getting a bit jealous of the
availability of foster homes in Indiana through Indiana-PAW!...I
know that I never have to turn down a Beardie or Neardie in need due
to a lack of foster care. You have done a wonderful job! Two paws
way, way up! INDIANA-PAW ROCKS!!" Thanks for the kind words,
