24 Hour Countdown To New Beginnings
Joyful Event In Franklin Tomorrow Will Save Puppies, Kittens

Indiana (July 28th, 2007) - In 24 hours, 19 homeless animals, 20 citizens who love animals, and one generous veterinarian will converge at a Franklin veterinary clinic for a joyous purpose. You are invited to come be a part of this inspirational event!

WHO: Indiana-PAW staff and volunteers, Rushville Animal Shelter staff, 19 homeless puppies, kittens, and a momma cat, and Dr. Andrew Mills and his staff.

WHAT: At 3 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, July 29th,
Indiana-PAW, one of the State's most active animal welfare agencies, will use a donation from an anonymous donor to pay for Dr. Andrew Mills at the Franklin Animal Clinic to examine, vaccinate, and spay/neuter 19 animals from the Rushville Animal Shelter, so that they can go into foster care with Indiana-PAW foster parents until they find permanent homes. Indiana-PAW initiated this special project after learning the Rushville shelter is forced to euthanize approximately 93% of their animals, due to a lack of public awareness and adoptive homes. At 3 p.m. tomorrow, Dr. Mills will complete the lucky 19 animals' exams and surgeries (at an extremely discounted rate, for which Indiana-PAW thanks him), and Indiana-PAW board members, foster parents and volunteers, along with Rushville Animal Shelter staff, will pick up the 19 animals and drive them out of the parking lot off to their new beginnings. In addition, Indiana-PAW will distribute supplies and food to the families fostering the 19 animals - these supplies were made possible through the partnership between Indiana-PAW and Pet Supplies "PLUS" In coming weeks, Indiana-PAW will be taking other steps to assist the Rushville shelter long-term. Tomorrow's event will be a kick-off of good things to come! You are invited to come out tomorrow if for no reason other than to simply give a hug and kiss to one of the 19 animals on their way to their new lives.

WHERE: The Franklin Animal Clinic, 2990 North Morton Street (US31), Franklin, Indiana.

WHEN: At 3 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, July 29th!
