Talkin' Turkey: News From Indiana-PAW Pumpkin

Indiana-PAW Friends,

It's hard to believe November has arrived and Thanksgiving is just weeks away! With that theme in mind, it's time to "talk turkey," and update you on the needs of homeless dogs and cats across Indiana, along with the needs of the agencies attempting to help them.

Specific Animals Needing Your Help
Boxie: St. Bernard Sweetie Needs Immediate Help.

Boxy
Paula Brock, the founder of Volunteers for Animal Welfare (a Cedar Grove, Indiana organization), has reached out to Indiana-PAW for help for a sweet 1 1/2 year old St. Bernard named Boxie (pictured at left) who had lived in an apartment, but is now chained up at a trailer since her owner moved out of state and abandoned her. Boxie is kid and dog friendly! If you can foster Boxie while Paula and her agency find her a permanent home, please contact Paula Brock with Volunteers For Animal Welfare.

Rescued From Connersville: A New Beginning.

Gypsy & Little Red
Gypsy and Little Red (pictured at right) are two of the 30+ dogs, cats and kittens who were recently rescued from extremely poor conditions in Connersville, Indiana. Gypsy and Red need foster homes ASAP, and we’re hoping one of you can help. Little Red is a Beagle-Corgi mix, neutered male, who is about 7, likes other dogs, and is healthy. Gypsy is a shy Doberman-mix, female, about 50-60 pounds, who is middle-aged and loves to be petted, and likes other dogs. Foster care would help socialize these beautiful girls and increase their adoptability at HELP The Animals, Inc., the Richmond, Indiana shelter trying to help them. Please click here if you are interested in fostering Little Red or Gypsy.

Zeke, Abby Rose, Pete & Rojo: Indiana-PAW Pets Of The Week.
Because there are thousands of animals awaiting adoption at Indiana animal shelters and rescue groups who are at risk for euthanasia, Indiana-PAW, in partnership with Lucky Dog Retreat, spotlights these wonderful pets through the "Pet Of The Week" feature at Indiana-PAW's website. This week, learn about four very special animals available for adoption: Zeke the cat, Abby Rose the Whippet-mix, Petey the Beagle, & Rojo the Red Heeler-mix (all pictured at left).

Kudos To IndyFeral
