Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic In Hamilton
County! Great news - the Hamilton
County Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic in Noblesville has launched!
This is a much-needed clinic, and spaying/neutering is MANDATORY in
Hamilton County. The clinic has asked Indiana-PAW to help them
spread the word that they are looking for a mature Registered
Veterinary Technician committed to reducing the number of unwanted
animals born everyday. The ideal candidate should have computer
skills and be proficient at IV pre-surgical injection, performing
endotracheal intubations, and aiding in emergency situations. Send
resumes to Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic, P.O. Box 55, Noblesville, IN
46061. Remember to encourage all of your friends and family to
spay/neuter their pets.
Indianapolis Pets Quarterly Rocks!
Indiana-PAW wants to issue a HUGE
thank you to Brad Haberman, Publisher of Indianapolis
Pets Quarterly (IPQ) for giving Indiana-PAW a full feature page
in the magazine's Fall issue, to introduce Indiana-PAW to a broader
audience. We'd also like to thank Brad for allowing Indiana-PAW and
more than a dozen other Indiana animal shelters and rescue groups to
have adoptable animals at the Indianapolis Pets Quarterly booth at
last week's Christmas Gift & Hobby Show (see photo at right).
This resulted in many adoptions, as well as positive exposure for
local animal rescue groups.

New Indianapolis Animal Ordinance Voted Into
Law Our good friends at FIDO
(Friends of Indianapolis Dogs Outside) have notified us that
Indianapolis' new Dangerous Dog Ordinance has a new anti-tethering
component that is good news for animal lovers. Under the new
ordinance, animals can't be tethered between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am,
un-sterilized dogs can't be tethered for any period of time unless
they're monitored, and animals may not be tethered or confined at a
vacant structure unless they're monitored. As FIDO aptly stated,
"This ordinance has the potential to improve the lives of thousands
of dogs who would otherwise live their entire lives chained to a dog
house." Click
here to go to the Indianapolis City-County Council website to
read the new law. Great job, FIDO!
