Indiana-PAW Pet Of The Week Sponsored By

Stormy - ADOPTED!

Stormy Background: Looking for a one-of-a-kind dog? Stormy is a very special yellow Lab-mix who is young, hip, and beautiful! Just take a look at her, how could you not love her face? Really, she's a card, as her foster mom, Indiana-PAW volunteer Dianne, can attest! The happiest part of Stormy's day is seeing you walk in the door. If you are searching for a very friendly and outgoing dog who loves other dogs and people, then look no further! Down, sit, stay, and come are all part of her repertoire. If you are looking for a friendly, happening young pup to be a part of your family, please visit Stormy!

Gender: Female

Breed: Yellow Lab Mix (Possibly mixed with Malamute - she weighs approx. 85 lbs.!)

Approximate Age: 1 to 2 years old - very young!

Spay/Neuter Status: Yes, Stormy is spayed!

Vaccinations: Yes, Stormy is up to date on all vaccines, heartworm tested, and on preventative!

Housetrained: Yes, Stormy is housetrained and has never had an accident in the house! Stormy is also crate trained, but prefers to sleep out of her crate on her blanket.

Compatibility With Children: We're not sure how Stormy does with children, but think that her size would make her a better fit with families with kids over the age of 10.

Compatibility With Other Pets: Stormy is extremely dog-oriented. She's submissive and non-aggressive, yet strong and confident with a pack mentality. She seems to want to engage all other animals in play. She chases rabbits, squirrels and other small animals outdoors, but when confronted by cats in the house, she shows no aggression.

Personality: Stormy has a very gentle and curious nature. She loves humans and animals, and has demonstrated a free spirit. She's eager to please and responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement.

Ideal Home: For someone who has the patience to continue with positive reinforcement, Stormy will be a wonderful addition to the family. She requires room to run and displays a strong pack mentality, so her forever home ideally will have another dog. Stormy will need a fenced yard, but you shouldn't leave her alone in the yard -- she has a tendency to dig under the fence when she wants out.

To Adopt: If you're interested in adopting Stormy, you may contact Love Of Labs (LOLIN) at lolin@insightbb.com or, visit their website at www.lolin.org.

Missy was found with her 8 brothers and sisters at a shelter by Indiana Petite Paws Rescue Angels. Missy was the runt of the liter, but has grown up to be a great, sweet, loving dog. She's about 5 months old now, and ready to go home to an active family. Are you this sweety's new family?

MissyApproximate Age: 5 months old - just a puppy!
