Indiana-PAW Pet Of The Week Sponsored By

Zeke - ADOPTED!

Zeke Background: Say "hi" to Zeke, a male neutered brown tabby! Zeke is a sweetie and just loves to be pet and get attention. He was found as a stray and just walked up to this nice lady who's a huge cat lover. She picked him up right away and was like where do you belong? Now, Zeke is looking for a forever home and a guardian that loves him for who he is. That shouldn't be a problem since he is sooooo sweet. Zeke's a very happy cat and just looking for love!!!

Gender: Male

Breed: DSH Cat

Approximate Age: Adult

Spay/Neuter Status: Yes, Zeke is neutered.

Vaccinations: Yes, Zeke is up-to-date on all his vaccines. However, Zeke has FIV (Feline immunodeficiency virus - similar to human AIDS and no it is not contagious to people). But this doesn't mean Zeke's sick. He's as healthy as any other cat. What it does mean is that he needs a home with either no cats or cats that he gets along with. He and any potential housemates need to be kept indoors at all times, and kept current on all preventative medical care (vaccines, physical exams, parasite contol, etc). Zeke has had all his vaccines already, fecal exam, FeLV negative, and even a CBC and blood chemistry profile to ensure no other illnesses.

Housetrained: Yes, Zeke is housetrained.

Compatibility With Children: Yes, Zeke does well with children.

Compatibility With Other Pets: Due to the fact that Zeke has FIV, he'd do best in a house with no other cats. We're not sure how Zeke does with dogs.

Personality: Zeke is a lover. He loves to be petted and loves attention. Zeke has a loud purr motor and will start purring the moment you pick him up.

Ideal Home: Zeke's ideal home would be one with no other cats (preferrably) and lots and lots of of TLC.

To Adopt: If you'd like to adopt Zeke, please contact Countryside Animal Rescue at 765-649-7944, or visit their website online at www.countrysideanimalrescue.org. You will need to fill out an adoption application and return that to Countryside Animal Rescue, and they will then set up a phone interview and a meeting time.

Petey

Petey Background:Is there anything in life cuter than a Beagle? Many would say the answer to that question is a resounding "No!" And if you doubt that, take a look at Petey, a darling purebred, neutered Beagle. Not only is this guy so cute he's dangerous, but he is a sweetie who loves to cuddle, fetch, and hunt moles! He's up-to-date with vaccinations and heartworm preventative. He has been with the same family his entire 6 years of life, and they say he is a fantastic, healthy dog, but they cannot keep him in their new living situation. Petey and his companion, a lab mix named Blue, are both availabile for adoption through Second Chance Animal Rescue. (Second Chance is willing to separate Petey and his companion, but would sure love it if someone was willing to adopt them together!)

Gender: Male

Breed: Beagle

Approximate Age: 6 years young!

Spay/Neuter Status: Yes, Petey is already neutered!

Vaccinations: Yes, Petey is up-to-date on all his vaccines and is heartworm negative.
