Indiana-PAW Pet Of The Week Sponsored By

Toby

Toby Background: Why isn't anybody interested in this boy?!?! Toby (aka Tobias) is an ADORABLE, sweet, loving and 90 lbs. lab. Toby's foster mom said she'd keep Toby if she didn't already have a full-house already. He's playful, loves kids, does well with other dogs -- what's not to love? Contact Love of Labs TODAY to start the adoption on this gorgeous, loving lab boy!

Gender: Male

Breed: Lab (big boy - about 90 lbs.!)

Approximate Age: 18 months old

Spay/Neuter Status: Yes, Toby is neutered.

Vaccinations: Yes, Toby is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, as well as heartworm negative and on preventatives.

Housetrained: Yes, Toby is both crate-trained and housetrained! Toby LOVES his crate and goes in very easily with a treat.

Compatibility With Children: Toby adores kids! However, Toby probably should NOT go to a home with small children since he is so big and playful, he may accidentally knock them over while playing. :-)

Compatibility With Other Pets: Toby does well with other dogs (although he hasn't been exposed to cats). BUT, Toby's foster parents KNOW he is the most loving and fun dog they've seen in a *long* time.

Personality: Toby is very loyal and fun! He wants to be wherever you are. Toby is a love bug, just a sweet, funny boy that is eager to please. He is a gorgeous, shiny coated boy that people always comment on. OH, did we mention that Toby was FUN? ;-) Toby holds perfectly still while you pet him, as if he moves, you might stop petting him. And, he loves to play ball.

Ideal Home: Toby needs a best friend. Toby is a very secure dog that can be outside by himself and jumping up and kicking his heels up just like a spirited horse or colt, it's too funny. A nice fenced yard where he can kick up his heels would be great.

To Adopt: If interested in adopting Toby, please contact Linda with Love Of Labs, Indiana (based in Noblesville) at 317-727-7392 or at lolin@insightbb.com. You can also visit the Love Of Labs, Indiana website at www.lolin.org, and click on "How to Adopt" to learn how this works and bring Toby home.

Kenya - ADOPTED!

Kenya Background: Looking for a great dog? Come & Meet Kenya! Kenya was found living under someone's van for 3 days. She was pretty banged up with scars on her head, neck and legs and was limping very badly. Happily enough, all the hair on her head has grown in, her limp is gone but the thin scar on her neck is there for good. She has the sweetest temperament. Why don't you bring Kenya home and start the New Year right?

Gender: Female

Breed: Pit bull Terrier (about 62 lbs.)

Approximate Age: 2-3 years old

Spay/Neuter Status: Yes, Kenya is spayed.

Vaccinations: Yes, Kenya is up-to-date on all her vaccinations.

Housetrained: Yes, Keyna is both crate-trained and housetrained!

Compatibility With Children: Yes, Kenya does well with children.

Compatibility With Other Pets: Yes, Kenya does well with other dogs (although she hasn't been exposed to cats).

Personality: Kenya is just a sweetie. She has the sweetest temperament. Kenya loves to snuggle and will lick you to death if given the chance!!!! Kenya is good with kids and loves other dogs. She loves going for rides in the car and is very well behaved while in the car. She gets very excited when it's breakfast or dinner time and sometimes will woowoo or do a little backwards dance. Kenya's foster mom is also a dog trainer, and has been living with her for several months. She has been very lucky to be able to live with someone who has been able to guide her and teach her what she needs to know to live in a family setting.

Ideal Home: Kenya is a very low maintenance dog. She would be happy with a yard and a soft place to sleep. Other dogs would be great, as she loves the company. Kenya obviously needs to be an indoor dog.

To Adopt: If you'd like to adopt Kenya, please contact Casa del Toro Bully Breed & Rescue online at www.casadeltoro.org. You will need to meet Casa del Toro's adoption requirements as outliend no their website. Kenya's adoption donation is $125.00.

If you think you could make a wonderful guardian for Sophie Marie, adopt this superstar before someone else does!
