Winnie - ADOPTED!
Background: Now that summer is right around the corner, maybe you'd like to add a new friend to your family? Winnie was rescued one day before she was scheduled to be euthanized at an Indiana shelter. She's been given a second chance for a new home -- maybe it's yours?
Gender: Female
Breed: Pointer/hound mix (medium sized - about 42 lb.)
Approximate Age: 1 1/2 years old
Spay/Neuter Status: Yes, Winnie is spayed!
Vaccinations: Yes, Winnie is up-to-date with all her vaccines, heartworm tested negative, and on monthly heartworm preventative.
Housetrained: Yes, Winnie is definitely house-trained!
Compatibility with Children: Winnie is wonderful with all people including children.
Compatibility with Other Animals: Winnie is wonderful with all dogs, but does not do well with cats.
Personality: Winnie is a very affectionate girl. She loves to be with you. She loves to hug you and give you kisses, and is very sweet and loveable. Winnie can be trusted to stay in the house without bothering anything, but is also crate trained. She is a very well behaved dog.
Ideal Home: Winnie's ideal home would be with anyone or any family who wants to have a loving companion - she the perfect dog for most anyone. A fenced yard would be nice too.

LuLu - ADOPTED!
Background: LuLu is about 9 months old and is a beautiful Boxer Border Collie mix. With that mixture, she is very smart and very energetic. She is already housebroken and crate trained and knows "sit" and "no". LuLu was adopted from the Ohio County Animal Shelter (in Rising Sun, Indiana) previously but was left behind when her people moved, so she is back looking for her forever home.
Gender: Female
Breed: Boxer/Border Collie mix
Approximate Age: 9 months
Spay/Neuter Status: Thanks to a generous donation, LuLu will be spayed prior to adoption!
Vaccinations: Thanks to a generous donation, LuLu will be vaccinated prior to adoption!
Housetrained: Yes, LuLu is housetrained and crate trained! She takes to her crate very well. Being part working dog, she has lots to do, so sometimes it gets her in trouble. She is needy but is ok in the crate or in a room by herself for a while. She would not have a huge issue with seperation anxiety but would suggest that she is contained when left alone. LuLu also needs to be on a leash when going on a potty break or contained in a fenced yard. That working attitude sends her off on an adventure every now and again!
Compatibility with Children: LuLu adores small children and would love being a part of a large family.
Compatibility with Other Animals: LuLu likes other dogs, as long as she can be alpha. Unfortunately, LuLu's former owner taught her how to chase cats, so no cats please.
Personality: LuLu has a wonderful disposition. She is super friendly and is very happy, sweet and loving. She is very smart and listens well. She is calm in the hosue and would make someone a great companion.
Ideal Home: LuLu would prefer an owner with lots of dog knowledge and a fenced in yard to run in. She needs lots of love and a job to do. She has been abused to the point she cowers and crawls and is quite submissive with humans, so an understanding owner would be best.

Floyd
Background: Funny, funloving and very friendly, Floyd is very full of himself. Floyd is very intelligent and learns quickly. He already know some commands, and he's eager to please. Floyd would benefit greatly from dog obedience training to help curb his natural exuberance. Maybe you'd like to bring this funloving guy home?

Approximate Age: 3-4 yrs old
Spay/Neuter Status: Yes, Floyd is already neutered!
Vaccinations: Yes, Floyd is up-to-date on all his vaccinations!
Housetrained: Yes, Floyd is housetrained!
Compatibility with Children: Floyd would do best with older children due to his exuberent nature.
Compatibility with Other Animals: Floyd would do best as an only dog - he plays a little too rough and is a big guy.
Personality: Floyd is a friendly and funloving guy. He just wants to have a good time.
Ideal Home: Floyd's ideal home would be with someone experienced with this breed or energetic/large dogs. A fenced yard is very important!

Lucy
Background: Lucy has run into some bad luck and is looking for a new home. Her previous owner had to surrender her due to a divorce, so Lucy is looking for a second chance. Do you have room for Lucy in your home and in your heart?

Housetrained: Yes, Lucy is housetrained!
Compatibility with Children: Lucy does well with children.

Personality: Lucy is a sweet-heart. She is reserved at first, but warms up quickly.
Ideal Home: Lucy's ideal home would be with an active family that wants to take their dog with them for all their activities. Lucy wants to go go GO!
