Indiana-PAW/Rushville Animal Shelter Special Project!
In July of 2007, Indiana-PAW launched a very special project with the Rushville Animal Shelter. On Sunday July 29th, Indiana-PAW worked with the Rushville Animal Shelter to pull dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens out of the shelter (which currently is forced to euthanize 93% of its animals). Indiana-PAW then transported the animals to the Franklin Animal Clinic and paid for Dr. Andrew Mills to health-test, vaccinate, and spay/neuter them (Dr. Mills generously provided his services at a very discounted fee, and donated his time). Then, Indiana-PAW volunteers transported the animals to Indiana-PAW foster parents across the State, as far south as Evansville and as far north as Portage (near the Indiana Dunes). These animals are now safe and sound in the homes of Indiana-PAW foster parents until they can find permanent homes. And that's where YOU come in! We need YOU to help us find permanent homes for these amazing animals. And this is such a special project that a bunch of businesses are throwing their support behind it, and offering free and discounted services to the good people who adopt these animals. Keep reading to learn how you can become a parent to one of these animals . . .
Note that as of December 23rd, 2007 ALL of the Rushville Pets in our Rushville Project Have Been Adopted! We've also put together a video commemorating one of the last adoptions of Daphne - Click here to watch the video. Thanks to everyone who participated in the Rushville Project - We could not have done it without you!
Scroll down to read the pets' bios, or just click on their photos!
Here's where you come in - we are looking for forever homes for each of the pets featured above.
