Indiana-PAW Has Galvanized More Than 150 Enthusiastic Volunteers Across The State
We've had a number of successes since we launched Indiana-PAW in November of 2004, and we share them here, so our volunteers, foster families, and partners in the animal welfare community and media (i.e., the folks who have helped bring about these successes) can share in our celebration! - Volunteer Program Success! Our Volunteer Program includes a dedicated army of more than 150 people! We feel extremely lucky to have such dedicated, talented, good folks working for animals with us!
Above: Photos from Indiana-PAW's first Volunteer & Foster Family Appreciation Party, January, 2006. A great time was had by all, as volunteers from across the State met one another and shared stories and food. The lower left photo is of Indiana-PAW Founder & Executive Director, Amy Van Ostrand, Esq., presenting foster parents Karen & Ron Spikes with their "Foster Parent Of The Year" award. Indiana-PAW received the following note from volunteer Tammy Jones:
"I have always wanted to work with animals because I love them so much. I signed up to be a volunteer at Indiana-Paw and it helped me make the decision to work with animals full time. I used to work in a cubicle being stressed out every day. I now work at a Kennel and absolutely love my job. I get to be with animals every day and there is no stress involved. Indiana-PAW showed me that even the little things we do for animals go a long way towards their care. Thank you Indiana-PAW!"
